As a temporary Accounts Payable Employee, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Accurately processing invoices and verifying financial data
• Matching invoices with purchase orders and receipts
• Reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Preparing and processing payments to vendors
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address payment-related inquiries

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Purchasing for homebuilding operations in MN, SD, and WI

Capstone Homes is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our Purchasing team. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting trades and suppliers, developing relationships of trust with them working with them to identify win-win cost-saving opportunities, and streamlining purchasing processes. Your work will directly impact the quality, affordability, and profitability of our homes. Our ideal candidate will be an outgoing self-starter who cares about people and is passionate about creating value through excellent buying.

What we are looking for:

• Proven ability to build trust quickly with trades and suppliers.
• Humility in problem-solving with a strong sense of urgency and leadership qualities
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Prior success in a purchasing role
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability and desire to work through objections to find win-win solutions
• Field experience in construction or a deep understanding of construction supply chains.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• A business degree or construction management certification is helpful.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continually improve Capstone’s cost position while securing sufficient labor and materials in all markets.
• Set up multiple meetings with trades and suppliers and work with them to develop win-win cost strategies.
• Negotiate for best cost/servicing agreements for unitized pricing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with supply chain members.
• Potentially lead and mentor team members in the future, developing them professionally and personally.
