Community Impact

Building Homes. Changing Hearts. Transforming Communities.

Together we can make a difference! Capstone Homes has been blessed with the opportunity to donate to, and support many local charities and organizations that have been selected based on each charity's specific needs and mission. The charities that Capstone Homes sponsors range from food drives to supporting groups of student leaders at local high schools to our brand new opportunity in 2023 of building our first Homes for Hope house. Capstone Homes is committed to being a positive influence in the communities that we build in.

    Homes of Hope

Of all the homes Capstone has built in the last 25 years, the most impactful to us personally are the three homes we built in Baja Mexico. A large group of our staff and their family members took a trip to Tijuana, Mexico in January of 2024. We split up into three teams and built three homes for three incredible families who all have hard stories. Words like “life-changing” were spoken among our team members.

In America, a typical improvement on a living situation might be an apartment to a split level, a split level to two-story, and so on… In Mexico, upgrades look like a dirt floor to cement, temporary walls to solid wood, a leaky roof made of tarps to a solid roof that keeps the rain out.

In every aspect of life, a solid foundation to spring from is everything.

The level of emotion and deep gratitude we all just experienced from these three amazing families is not something we typically feel when we make our own upgrades to living situations. At least not on that level. Talk about perspective.

      Homes of Hope Continued

One thing is certain, the Lord allowed us all to do this. He paved the way. We didn’t want these three special families to walk away thinking “nice Americans” just helped them out. Though on the outside, it might look that way, we did our best to let them know that God sees them and loves them personally.

He heard their prayers. One of the families with a single mom, overcome by emotion with her new home said, “I always dreamed of having a dining table like this to sit and eat with my children”. She dreamed of having a table. Wow. She also couldn’t believe that she now had her own bed.

We are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their journey for a very short time.

”The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.“
      Psalms 145:14 NLT

        Bibles for Breakfast

Jesus and breakfast? Win win! A couple of amazing groups we love to support are the different High School breakfast clubs around the Twin Cities. High School students gather periodically before their school day starts to eat breakfast while listening to a message from the Bible and learning how much Jesus loves them. Today, hundreds of students attend and more and more are finding faith in Christ.

The different locations we support are The Breakfast Club in St. Michael, Bibles and Breakfast in Coon Rapids, and Bibles and Breakfast in Anoka! Check out more about them and how they can be supported.

All the glory goes to God!

          Homes for Hope

We were thrilled with the amazing opportunity to partner with Homes for HOPE and their mission to fight poverty around the world. In the summer of 2023, we gathered with some members of the Ramsey community, our valued trade partners, the Homes for HOPE team, and the Capstone team to launch our Homes for HOPE project in the Riverstone South community. Our project house officially sold in early 2024, and the entire profit went directly to support entrepreneurs and their growing families across seas. All the glory to God!

We have been incredibly blessed with everything the Lord has provided for us and are excited to pour it back into His Kingdom. Check out the incredible work Homes for HOPE is doing!.

            Feed My Starving Children

Another MN charity our team contributes to is Feed My Starving Children. FMSC believes that children should not only hear the word of God, but have their basic need of food taken care of. Donations and volunteer time makes this organization able to feed children in over 100 different countries around the world! We are thankful for our amazing staff members who love to help other people and organize times to volunteer at FMSC for such a worthy cause.
